Your Animals Will Rest Easier on Hemp Bedding

Hemp fiber is a valuable by-product of the hemp drying process. A 100-pound bag of unprocessed hemp will usually yield about 40 pounds of fiber after drying and sorting. And that dried fiber is one of the best animal bedding materials available. It offers an excellent alternative to sawdust, wood chips, or paper in horse stalls, chicken coops, dog kennels, or even reptile, rabbit, and hamster cages.

Why hemp animal bedding?

  • Hemp fiber is extremely absorbent, able to soak up 4 times its own dry weight

  • It’s completely natural, mold-resistant and biodegradable

  • It’s dust-free, unlike many wood-based bedding solutions that can irritate respiratory systems

  • It naturally neutralizes ammonia odors

  • Hemp lasts longer as bedding and, once it is time to change it, the used hemp can be introduced to your compost pile
